Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist. Her theoretical approach is grounded in a strengths-based, person centered and studio model. Using this approach for the therapeutic process allows for multiple opportunities of growth for her clients. In her work she loves to therapeutically support her clients in their creative journey. Together, her and clients explore materials, art making techniques and develop life skills in the art studio.
Jessica fully believes that there are no right or wrong ways to make art! She uses this concept in her work with her clients as she blends together her knowledge of art therapy interventions and other counseling techniques. Jessica has found that her experience of using this way of working can be very beneficial for many people with a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities.
Jessica has witnessed how valuable art therapy can be for creating an inclusive environment, as it is accepting and adapting to all forms of expression.
